PLEASANT PLAINS, Ar. (KNOE 8 News) - Prosecutors say a Pleasant Plains man won't be charged in the shooting death of his brother.
The Independence County Sheriff's Department says a review found that 51-year-old Randy Martin was acting in self defense when he fatally shot his brother, 55-year-old David Martin, on March 11.
Police say David Martin was found dead at the front door of his brother's home in Pleasant Plains. Officers say David Martin died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Randy Martin was arrested on the day of the shooting but has since been released. Authorities say no charges will be brought against him.
