MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A pedestrian was hit by a car yesterday afternoon after being chased by a dog.
Darron McMiller was walking on Washington Street in Monroe, when a dog escaped its restraints and chased him.
McMiller ran into the street to escape the dog when he was hit by a vehicle. Mcmiller suffered injuries to his shoulder and head.
The owner of the dog was issued a summons, and surrendered the dog to the control of parish animal control because he said he could no longer take care of the dog.
