MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Monroe man is back behind bars after he escaped from his work release.
Dale Demoss left his work release yesterday morning and stole a car from a repair shop.
Monroe police used the stolen car's On-star system to track him down. Police found Demoss on Standifer Avenue in South Monroe, and after a short foot chase, he was arrested and booked back into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center.
