RICHWOOD, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Three people are recovering in an area hospital as of Tuesday night after three shootings.

All are believed to be connected and all are in south Monroe and Richwood.

The first shots rang out at about 7 P.M. Tuesday night near Bernstein Park.

Then about two hours later, shots rang out on Burg Jones Road in Richwood. First a gas station on the east side of the street at Standifer, then minutes later a gas station was shot at near Reddix and Richwood Road.

At Bernstein Park, several teens told us they were questioned by police as Monroe officers search for a White Ford Crown Victoria that police believe was the vehicle used in the crime.

We're told a 17-year-old was arrested shortly after a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg there. The teen is expected to be okay.

Around 9 p.m., only KNOE 8 News was there as police responded to two more shootings along Burg Jones Road and Reddix Road. Two more were injured in those shootings and both were taken to an area hospital.

Both crimes were in the Town of Richwood and police there have declined to comment.

We're unsure if they're still looking for a suspect in the Richwood shootings.

If you happen to know who's responsible for these crimes or have information that can help police out, you're asked to call the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline.

We'll continue following these developing stories and have more information as it comes into our newsroom.
