WALNUT RIDGE, Ar. (KNOE 8 News) - Authorities are searching for a 14-year-old girl after her stepfather was found dead along a county road in northeast Arkansas.
Arkansas State Police say Sidney Nicole Randell hasn't been seen since about 10:00 PM Saturday.
Walnut Ridge Police Chief Ricky Thatcher says the body of her stepfather, John Carnell, was found Monday about 100 yards from his truck outside town.
Thatcher says a pistol was found nearby. He says officers are treating it as a suicide but stressed the investigation is ongoing.
