RICHLAND PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Richland Parish woman faces two life sentences in the 2011 shooting deaths of two other women.
44-year-old, Tina McIntyre, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Charity Pillar and Chelsea McCann.
In September 2011, deputies say McIntyre stole a rifle from a neighbor and shot the two women in her home. McIntyre then went to the sheriff's office and confessed to the murders. Today, McIntyre was sentenced to two life sentences without parole.
Previous story (Sept. 2011):
RICHLAND PARISH, La, (KNOE 8 News) - Yellow tape surrounds this home on Myers Road in Richland Parish near the Goose Hollow Community. Deputies found the bodies of Charity Pillars and Chelsea Patrick lying on the mobile home's floor. Homeowner and suspect-Tina Mcintyre- is being held in the Richland Parish Detention Center.
"Investigators arrived and found two women--victims--in the living room area of the house," Chief Deputy Terry Thompson said.
Deputies say they got a call about a disturbance at this home earlier in the afternoon before they knew there were two shooting victims inside.
Chief Deputy Terry Thompson tells KNOE McIntyre showed up at his office telling him that she committed a crime at her home.
"I told her to come on back to my office. I invited her in. She stated her name. Ms. Tina McIntyre and she said I just killed two people," Thompson said.
Chief Deputy Terry Thompson says the shootings stemmed from a love triangle. The father of Charity Pillars told an investigator that his daughter and Mcintyre ended their relationship a year ago, but they did see each other occasionally at work.
If she's convicted, mcintyre could face the death penalty or life in prison.
