False Alarm: Fast-food employee reports kidnapping

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A kidnapping call from a fast food restaurant, turns out to be a false alarm.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff Deputies say they received a call Friday night from the Sonic Drive Thru near the intersection of Well Road and Cypress Street. An employee reported that a child was tied up in a Hummer.

Deputies issues a BOLO on the vehicle. Around 10:30 am Saturday, Sonic employees called the Sheriff's Office reporting the Hummer was back at the restaurant.

Deputies says they immediately responded and questioned the driver, who was there with his children getting breakfast. It turns out he child was not tied up Friday night, but wearing a costume.
