MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police are taking seriously an alleged threat made on the social network site Twitter.
Saturday police were notified of a threat that was received by Capitol One Bank Security. Police conducted extra patrols as a result around the banks within the city and no incidents were reported. The person who made the alleged threat was a West Monroe man.
Monroe Police have made other law enforcement agencies aware of the alleged Twitter threat and the man involved has been warned and banned from all Capitol One properties.
