32nd Annual Black History Parade in Monroe

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe is celebrating Black History Month today, and they had some help from local bands.

This is the 32nd annual black history parade hosted by the Renaissance Movement Committee.

It was kicked off by Grand Marshall State Representative Katrina Jackson.

Police say they made one DWI arrest during the event and several juvenile arrests. It's estimated about 20,000 people attended the parade.
