FARMERVILLE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - In other Thursday action, sheriff's investigators arrested two detention center inmates on a charge of fire-raising in a correctional facility.
Dustin Allen Rose, 21, and Jon Walter McCann, 30, were arrested at the correctional center in connection with a vent fire that occurred in a disciplinary cell Feb. 14.
An affidavit states the men used the two electrical wires from a light fixture to ignite rolled up paper to light up a cigarette that they shared.
The rolled up paper was stuffed into an exhaust vent that guards noticed. The paper was quickly extinguished.
