Katrina Jackson selected as grand Marshal for parade

District 16 Representative Katrina Jackson
MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The Honorable Katrina Jackson, State Representative, LA District 16 is the Grand Marshal for the Annual Black History Parade. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 23rd with the line up starting at 7am and the parade begins at 10:00am. from the corner of Washington Blvd at North 6th Streets in Monroe. This year's theme is "Moving Forward-Together"
Rep. Jackson is a native of Monroe having attended and graduated from Carroll High School, University of Louisiana at Monroe and the Southern University Law Center. She was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association in April 2005.
She was first elected to the Louisiana State House in 2011 and opened her private law firm on Kansas Lane in Monroe.
Rep. Jackson attributes her accomplishments to having a dream that lines up with God's plan for her life.
