LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNOE 8 News) - Freezing rain and ice has fallen in parts of the natural state and Arkansas road crews and power companies were ready.
Some would call the last ice and snow storm in Little Rock a Christmas nightmare. Snow was blanketing the highways, and visibility for drivers was reduced to practically nothing.
Now two months later, another round of winter weather. The local power company has 300 extra linemen standing by.
There were no immediate reports of damage. The storm has closed schools in the north central and northwest parts of the state. Ice is scheduled to continue to fall throughout the day today.

Monroe, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Police arrested Thomas Wroten this afternoon following a domestic dispute. At 9:15pm last night Monroe Police received an emergent call for help in the 5300 block of Blanks.
