Patients welcome back nurse aboard Carnival Triumph

COLUMBIA, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Passengers of the Carnival Triumph are glad to be back home from what some are calling the "Nightmare Cruise."

For some ladies from Caldwell Parish, the trip wasn't all bad.

"Cold showers and cold food for the first couple of days," says Lori Wells, "but I mean we didn't starve, we had plenty of food they took care of us."

The girls say they had a blast, and learned what to pack next time.

"Flashlight, batteries, power cords to charge cell phones, snacks," says Lana Sanders, but patients of hers at the Haven Nursing Home say they don't want her to leave again.

"No vacation on a boat," says Elizabeth Davis.

Everyone at Haven was worried about Sanders when they first heard about the disabled cruise ship.

The girls say they will never forget the sights, smells, and sounds heard over the last week on the ship, but even with a few objections from patients, they all plan to cruise again.
