RICHWOOD, La (KNOE 8 News) - Ouachita Parish Fire investigators believe a fire that burned a mobile home in Richwood could have a suspicious cause.
Since no power was connected to the mobile home, investigators said they're now investigating for a possible outside heat source that could have been brought into the home.
They said they will search for fire patterns and take samples to try to determine whether or not this fire was arson.
There were no injuries in this fire. Investigators believe no one was living in the home at the time of the fire.
PREVIOUS STORY: Ouachita Parish firefighters are on the scene of a mobile home fire in Richwood.
Authorities say the fire started around 4:30 AM. Three crews from the fire department as well as Richwood police responded to the scene.
Officials say they do not believe anyone was living in the home and no injuries have been reported.
The lead fire investigator is on his way to the mobile home to determine what caused the fire.
One side of the mobile home is completely charred and right now, firefighters are busy extinguishing the remaining hot spots.
