JEANERETTE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The threat of bad weather has caused the cancellation of the Mardi Gras parade in Jeanerette.
Angela Broussard of the Grand Marais (muh-RAY) Mardi Gras Association says it's only the second time in 33 years that the parade on Fat Tuesday has been canceled.
She says it would have had four floats, plus homemade floats, and several bands.
Broussard says she's heard that a few people are putting together an impromptu parade.
Jeanerette police, however, say there is no parade.
