Louisiana manhunt for escapee

GRANT PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Louisiana prisoner remains on the run Saturday night. That's after escaping from a minimum security prison in Grant Parish.

Federal officers are on the hunt for 41-year-old Roland Castro who escaped Thursday night. Castro was sentenced back in January 2000 to 20 years behind bars.

He's convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm. His scheduled release date was set for June of 2017.
