LAKE CHARLES, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 41-year-old convicted felon after he allegedly told a friend he was going shoot up Bell City School.

The sheriff's office says Warren A. LeBlanc, of Hayes, allegedly told a friend Thursday evening of his plan to attack the school. LeBlanc's friend alerted school officials Friday and they locked down the school.

Deputies later found LeBlanc inside 47-year-old Thomas P. Crochet's car on Highway 90 in Iowa, along with three firearms. Deputies confiscated six more guns after a later search of LeBlanc's home.

LeBlanc, currently on probation, was booked with one count of terrorizing and nine counts of possession of weapons by a convicted felon.

Crochet, also of Hayes, was booked on an outstanding contempt of court warrant for DWI and other traffic offenses.
