Union Parish Narcs arrest Junction City man

JUNCTION CITY, Ar., (KNOE 8 News) - Union Parish sheriff's narcotics agents went to serve a drug distribution warrant against a Junction City, Ark., man and report they found him on the street with a bag full of marijuana and a pocketful of small bills.

Jeffery L. Brown, 51, was arrested on Third Street in Junction City, La., by the sheriff's Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs agents.

Brown was arrested on the warrant that was issued for his arrest in August 2012 charging him with distribution of marijuana. A search of his person after the arrest turned up 14.9 grams of marijuana in a Crown Royal bag. He also was carrying $395 in small bills, an arrest affidavit stated.

The suspect was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Total bond on the two additional charges was set at $16,500. Bond on the warrant arrest was set at $17,500.
