MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police have made two arrests in the shooting death of a man whose body was found in a ditch this week.
Anthony Bass, 22, and Marquarious York, 18, both of Monroe, were taken into custody at 8 P.M. Wednesday, in the killing of 28-year-old Clinton Pratt.
Detectives say Pratt may have been killed in a dispute over money. His body was found on Monday, along Old Rifle Range Road in Monroe.
A maroon Ford Crown Victoria recovered in Richland Parish on Wednesday belongs to Anthony Bass. Investigators say it may have been used in carrying out the crime.
Bass and York were expected to be booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center sometime Wednesday night, on charges of second-degree murder and criminal conspiracy.
