LITTLE ROCK, Ar.,  (KNOE 8 News) - Here are some of the top stories in Arkansas.

U.S. Senator Mark Pryor is launching a new radio show. The Arkansas Democrat says the "Pryor-Side Chats" will be posted online and distributed to radio stations every two weeks.

An Arkansas House panel is expected to vote today on a proposal that'd change the formula for calculating whether a school district can consolidate. Districts with fewer than 350 students are currently placed on the consolidation list, but the proposed legislation calls for the state to include home-schooled students in its count.

A Senate committee is meeting today to consider whether the list of Arkansans who are permitted to carry concealed handguns should be kept private. The legislation by Greenwood Republican Bruce Holland exempts the concealed carry information from the state's Freedom of Information Act.

A single lane on Interstate 630 in Little Rock will be closed tomorrow so road crews can repair the pavement. The work on the eastbound lanes is expected to begin around 9 a.m., weather permitting.
