MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe City school leaders are celebrating a top honor in the district. The National Center for Education Achievement is listing seven city schools as high-performing for the year 2012.
The group researches the way schools are preparing their students for the future.
Those schools are: Barkdull Faulk Elementary School, Berg Jones Elementary School, Cypress Point University Elementary School, J. S. Clark Magnet School, Lincoln Elementary School, Minnie Ruffin Elementary School, and Sallie Humble Elementary School.
