RAPIDS PARISH, La., (KNOE 8 News) - On January 31st, the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office responded to Tioga High School in reference to emailed threats made to students and faculty.

During the course of the investigation, Detectives, with the assistance of the RPSO Cyber Crimes Unit, say they positively identified two Tioga High School students as the offenders.

Now, RPSO Detectives have arrested and charged each of the subjects with ten counts of Terrorism.  Both subjects were taken into custody at the school without incident and booked in the Rapides Parish Detention Center, where they are being held without bond at this time.

Detectives say the students stated "they just wanted to see if they could get away with it."  While arrests have been made, the investigation is still ongoing.  All electronic devices used in this crime have also been seized as evidence.

"As I said before, we take every threat in our schools as a credible threat and I am happy to say we have made these arrests" said Sheriff William Earl Hilton.

The two teenagers arrested have been identified as Jessica Winslow and Ti'jeanae Harris, both of Alexandria. Each girl has been charged with 10 counts of terrorism.
