MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - When it comes to crime during the Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras parade in Monroe, police say there were no major issues preventing everyone from enjoying the evening.

Officers say there were five reported fights/disturbances that left only one person behind bars. Police say a person under the age of 17 was arrested near Lamy Lane Saturday.

The blue and white were on the scene assisting eight children who were reported lost during the parade. However, detectives say each child was returned to their parents before the end of the night.

According to officers, there was only one vehicle accident that didn't result in any injuries. However, another vehicle, not involved in the crash, caught fire. Firefighters were called in to handle that situation.

Police say an unconscious male was rushed to the hospital during the festivities. No other information was given on the condition as of Sunday.

Lastly, officers are investigating two battery complaints by a resident. Investigators have not released any other details about the incidents.
