UPDATE: Identity of second hit and run victim released

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police have released the identity of Saturday's fatal hit and run as 47 year old Marshall Shaw of Cedar Street in Monroe.

Police are still looking for the suspect and say their offices have been inundated with Crime Stopper calls all revealing good leads. PIO Mark Johnson says they hope to have a suspect soon.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Crime stoppers of Ouachita Parish at (318) 388-2274.

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe police officers are investigating another fatal hit and run.

Detectives say it all happened near the intersection of Church Street and Griffin Street Saturday night.

Witnesses told police a white Mitsubishi Galant with dark tinted windows struck a man and left him for dead.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
