RUSTON, LA. (KNOE 8 News) - KNOE 8 News has learned that the severe weather that hit many areas of the ArkLaMiss has also brought damage to an animal rescue nonprofit in Ruston and has killed one of its animals.

4 Paws Animal Rescue, Inc., located on 290 Rodeo Rd. in Ruston, told KNOE 8 News that they were hit by high winds on Tuesday, resulting in trees falling all around them.

The nonprofit said the damage from the severe weather killed one of their puppies named Zak and now they are seeking help from anyone who can give it.

The nonprofit said they are now working to cut down other trees that are in danger of falling and are in great need of any financial help that the community can give.

The nonprofit said that if you'd like to, you can make donations to their website or give them a call at 318-251-DOGS.
