NATCHITOCHES, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Investigators have arrested two Red River Parish men in connection with a couple of burglaries in North Natchitoches Parish according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.
On December 7th, 2012, Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported residential burglary at 132 Ella Davis Road, Campti, La. During the investigation, deputies determined that forced entry had been gained through the front door. Items reported taken in the burglary were: guns, jewelry, and a utility trailer.
On January 7th, 2013, Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported business burglary at Dobson Pulpwood shop, located at 4000 Hwy 480, Campti, La. During the investigation, deputies determined that forced entry had been gained through a rear window. In this instance, items reported taken were: Impact tools, a Miller welding machine, Stihl 085 chainsaw and a brass collector's ring.
According to Chief Investigator Greg Dunn, some of the items have been recovered although detectives are still attempting to locate the valuable brass collector's ring.
Deputies have arrested the following in connection with the burglaries:
(1). Kevin D. Wood, 33 of the 4400 block of La. Hwy 507, Coushatta, La. *1-count of Simple Burglary *1-count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things *1-count of Possession of CDS Schedule II Narcotics (2). Michael H. Lemoine, 22 of the 3000 block of La. Hwy 71/84, Coushatta, La. *1-count of Simple Burglary *1-count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things
