MONROE, LA. (KNOE 8 News) - The Jean LaFitte Gun and Knife Show, part of this weekend's KNOE Boat and Outdoor Show, is expecting the largest crowd they've seen in years with all the national discussions about guns.
Show coordinators tell KNOE 8 News that in the last three weeks, in the last five gun shows within 300 miles of Monroe, they've seen higher-than-ever crowds and higher-than-ever sales.
Promoters with the Jean LaFitte Gun and Knife Show are already seeing a rise in ammunition and assault rifle prices. They will be showcasing between 50-60 vendors.
They said they're working to prepare for these crowds at the show to help them buy and sell any firearms that they're interested in this weekend.
Here are the hours of the 25th Annual KNOE Boat and Outdoor Show at the Monroe Civic Center this weekend.
Friday, January 25: Noon - 7pm Saturday, January 26: 10am - 7pm Sunday, January 27: 11am -5pm
