Swanberg No Longer Coaching Warriors Football

Posted: Updated:

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 Sports) - Chad Swanberg is no longer the head football coach at St. Frederick High School.   He led the team to the playoffs this past season.

Here is the official statement he emailed our sports department:

"I am grateful to St. Frederick High School for allowing me the opportunity to serve as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach during the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years. I am genuinely thankful for Mrs. Lisa Patrick and Father Matthew Long for the confidence and faith that was bestowed in my hiring and throughout my time at St. Frederick. I greatly appreciate St. Fredericks Principal, Mr. Guy Farber, for his many contributions to St. Frederick thus far and I anticipate great things for St. Frederick in the future. His position is not one that I envy for it carries with it the responsibility to make difficult decisions for the betterment and best interests of St. Frederick High School. Therefore, I respect the decision that has been made in order to move St. Frederick in a new and different direction from this point forward. I will miss St. Frederick High School, its administration, staff, coaches, students, alumni, and supporters. Mostly, I will miss the young men whose lives I was fortunate enough to be a part of and have come to love and treasure so very deeply. I wish them only the very best that life has to offer and look forward to following their continued success. These past two years, the Warriors have given me an amazing gift by allowing me to grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally as a coach, friend, co-worker, and human being. I will continue to pray for high levels of accomplishment and achievement spiritually, socially, academically, and athletically at St. Frederick High School as I carry on, seeking God's will for my future endeavors"
