MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A lawsuit between Graphic Packaging International and the City of Monroe is ongoing. Graphic Packaging is suing the city over a tax dispute worth more than 2 million dollars.
The company says it overpaid the city in taxes back in 2007. According to court documents, both requests for a refund and a hearing were denied by the city. The city stated in a documented response, the company missed the three year deadline to ask for a refund.
While there is no future court date scheduled right now, the suit is ongoing, according to court officials.
