JACKSON, Miss. (KNOE 8 News) Jackson police say three abortion protesters have indicated they will press charges again a security guard they say sprayed them with pepper spray outside of Mississippi's only abortion clinic.
Police say the three protesters and the guard got into an argument after the guard turned on the water sprinkler system at the Jackson Women's Health Organization in north Jackson.
The protesters were treated at a local hospital, and police say the guard could be charged with three counts of aggravated assault if charges are filed.
Tuesday marked the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision. Groups from both sides of the abortion argument have descended on the Jackson clinic to demonstrate.
