Locals reacting to gun law proposals

Posted: Updated:

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The Obama Administration is facing the heat from local gun owners. Several people giving the thumbs down to new proposed gun laws are speaking out. They're taking to the streets with signs in hand West Monroe on the corner of Warren Drive and Cypress Street. Some are also making their beliefs known in Monroe at the intersection of Louisville Avenue and North 18th Street.

"We think it's important to uphold it both for defending our homes locally, and to train our young men to support our nation. It's a right we should give up easily," Henry Hollenburg with the Northeast Louisiana Tea Party.

No word on when the local Tea Party group will hold another day of sign waving.
