STERLINGTON, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Sterlington Police Chief Barry Bonner says that, acting on an anonymous tip, they have arrested a fugitive from West Union, Iowa.

28-year-old Curtis Williams, wanted for 1st degree kidnapping and 1st degree burglary in Iowa, was found hiding in a closet.

He'd apparently come to Sterlington to visit friends, who apparently gave the police permission to search, during which he was discovered and taken into custody without incident.

Williams was taken to OCC where he is awaiting extradition back to Iowa.
