DOWNSVILLE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The Downsville water system is reporting problems with the water supply system there.

Because of that, a boil advisory is being issued, with an additional note about chlorine usage.

All water to be used for ingestion (including food preparation, drinking, brushing of teeth, etc., needs to be boiled for one full minute after it has been brought to a rolling boil state.

In addition, people who use chlorine well in excess of the maximum residual disinfectant level "could experience irritating effects to their eyes and nose." Those drinking the chlorine disinfectant water could possibly experience stomach discomfort.
