MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Our Miss Louisiana Lauren Vizza is walking away with her head held high at Miss America, although she didn't win the crown.
The Louisiana Tech University senior is heavily involved in several community agencies. She's currently serving as the spokesperson and ambassador for the Louisiana Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
She was chosen back in June as Miss Louisiana Tech out of 48 other women. That gave her the chance to compete in the largest scholarship group for women.
"I want to do international studies, foreign affairs is the field that I want to go in. So either constitutional law or international business, something like that. I'll figure it out when I get to law school," Vizza said.
Miss Louisiana is making her way back to the Bayou State. She's scheduled to arrive at the Monroe Regional Airport just before 2 o'clock in Sunday afternoon. Everyone is invited to welcome her back.
