MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A large fight caused law enforcement to forcefully shut down a popular Louisiana mall for the night.

The Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge closed early Saturday night around 9 P.M. That's after, according to deputies, a large crowd started a fight in the food court area. Deputies say there were other smaller fights scattered throughout the mall, beginning around 6 P.M.

It's believed the large number of people gathered at the mall for a flash mob, according to the sheriff's office.
