Alleged Shreveport robber linked to two robberies

SHREVEPORT, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Shreveport police say they have linked the suspect killed during last week's ATM robbery there to the robbery of an off-duty police officer in September.

Shreveport police say that 22-year-old Ledarius Morgan was shot early in the morning on Dec. 20 as he and 20-year-old Raymond Johnson allegedly attempted to rob a man at a Regions Bank ATM. Morgan was dropped off at a local hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

Morgan has since been identified from a police lineup as one of two men who held a Shreveport police officer at gunpoint near an ATM Sept. 16. The pair allegedly took money and the officer's gun.
