MOREHOUSE PARISH, La., (KNOE 8 News) - A Morehouse Parish teenager has been charged with negligent homicide after an incident with a handgun kills another teen.
Morehouse deputies responded to a shooting that happen Wed evening around 5pm on Vaughan Rd. in Northern Morehouse Parish.
According to the Sheriff's office investigation, Caleb Frisbey age 17, and Michael Johnson also 17, were playing around with an unloaded gun, when Caleb Frisbey picked up a another handgun that was holstered.
He reportedly pointed that pistol at Johnson and pulled the trigger. The gun was loaded and the .44 caliber bullet struck Johnson.
Deputies assisted with CPR until ambulance personnel arrived. Johnson was taken to Morehouse General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
