PINEVILLE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Kisatchie National Forest is offering two passes now for those who visit there regularly.

The Annual Trail Use Pass and the Annual Day Use Pass can be purchased at any of the five district ranger offices or at the Forest Supervisor's Office in Pineville.

The Annual Trail Use Pass is $50 and $25 for those 15 years old and younger. There are over 400 miles of trails on KNF with 200 of those miles dedicated to ATV/OHV use. The Annual Day Use Pass is $30 and provides access to all day use activities including boat launches, fishing, picnicking, swimming and more. Both passes are good for a calendar year.

Kisatchie is home to some of the best trails and recreational opportunities in the State of Louisiana. With over 600,000 acres of land, spanning seven central and north Louisiana parishes, there are many opportunities to get outside and explore all that Kisatchie has to offer.

Money collected from both passes are used by KNF to maintain and improve all visitor facilities and recreational sites, including trails. Purchasing passes in January ensures maximum benefit for the whole calendar year.

For more information about the KNF Trail Use Pass or Day Use Pass call the KNF Supervisor's Office in Pineville at (318) 473-7160.
