Arkansas power woes growing again

LITTLE ROCK, Ar., (KNOE 8 News) - Overnight lows in the 20's are causing more utility customers in Arkansas to lose power.

At 7am, there were an estimated 133,000 Arkansas customers without power, but by mid-morning that number had swelled to more than 140,000.

Entergy says it is working to restore power in Stuttgart, Marion and Pine Bluff.

The utility says it will take until next week to restore power in the Little Rock area, where more than 75,000 Entergy customers are without power.

In Garland and Hot Spring counties, more than 30,000 customers are without power. And about 14,000 Entergy customers are dark in Saline County.

The good news for Arkansas is that crews from Louisiana are coming in to help get Entergy customers back up.
