DARROW, LA. (KNOE 8 News) - On Sunday night, shortly before midnight, the 5th Ward Volunteer Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire on Galaxy Blvd. in the community of Darrow.
The structure was found fully engulfed in flames.
State Fire Marshal Deputies confirmed the fire was fatal, killing two brothers, ages 4 and 6. Their mother and her two other children managed to escape the blaze.
The Fire Marshal's Office and the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office are jointly and actively investigating this fire.
Firefighters said there were no working smoke alarms in the home. More information may be released at a later time.
