MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Many are talking about a sort of mystery near the moon. Saturday night, many viewers were wondering what was the big circle around Earth's neighbor. It's called a moon ring or winter halo. It's created by the refraction of light from ice particles floating in the upper atmosphere. Some may say, this means we're getting snow, but unfortunately the weather authority says we're not getting any of that kind of precipitation. However, there's a chance of rain in the forecast for Sunday.
