MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo is reminding everyone early this year, about a safe way to dispose of Christmas trees and do some ecological good at the same time.
Beginning December 26th and running through January 6th, the City of Monroe Public Works Department will, once again, conduct Christmas Tree Recycling.
Residents are reminded to remove all ornaments and decorations from the tree and that only LIVE Christmas trees will be accepted.
