UPDATE: Revised Monroe School Superintendent candidate list

MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - A revised list of candidates for the Superintendent's position with the Monroe City School system was released today:

Dr. Charles S. Michel of Metairie, Louisiana. Serves as Supervisor of Special Education for the Lafourche Parish School District. Dr. Cassandra Barker-Carr, of Commerce City, Colorado. Serves as Assistant Vice President/Regional Manager of ACT, Inc..

Susan Waller Mummert of Lakewood, California. Independent Consultant. Most recently served as Director of Categorical Programs of Azusa Unified School District in Azusa, California.

M. David Claxton of Monroe, Louisiana. Serves as school principal of Sallie Humble Elementary School---Monroe, Louisiana.

Dr. Billye Burns of West Monroe, Louisiana. Most recently served as Program Evaluator for the Louisiana Quality Education Support Fund-8(g), State of Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Delma R. Flores of San Antonio, Texas. Serves as Senior Consultant with Experimental Learning EXL Inc.

Dr. Bonita Newman Douzart of Shreveport, Louisiana. Most recently served as school principal of University Christian Preparatory School---Shreveport, Louisiana.

Brent A. Vidrine of Monroe, Louisiana. Serves as school principal of Neville High School—Monroe, Louisiana.

Dr. Mary Nash Robinson of Greenwood, Louisiana. Serves in the position of Superintendent Designee of the Human Resources Division for the Caddo Parish School District.

    MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe police are looking for two suspects that robbed a Kangaroo convenient store. Police say two black males entered the store, located at 4320 Desaird Street, around 3:15 Friday morning. They say the suspects robbed the store at gun point and police were able to able to get a photo of one suspect. That suspect is described as a younger black male over six feet and it appears he is wearing a Neville sweatshirt. He is considered armed and dangerous.
