WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The West Monroe High Principal has issued the following statement in regard to the threat made against the school on Friday of last week.
"The West Monroe High School Administration in conjunction with West Monroe Police Department and Ouachita Parish Sheriff?s Office conducted an investigation regarding comments allegedly made by a WMHS student last Friday near the end of the school day. The student was taken in to custody during the weekend. The student will not be allowed back at school until the matter is resolved. Regular school classes and events will proceed as planned this week as we approach the coming Holidays. Thank you for your concern regarding this matter."

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The West Monroe Police Department have arrested a student accused of threatening students at West Monroe High School.
Sunday night, West Monroe Police began investigating a complaint that a juvenile had made threats to harm students at West Monroe High School.
Officers identified the suspected as a 15 year old student of the school. The student was taken into custody and charged with terrorizing. The suspect was transported to the Green Oaks Detention Center.
Investigators found that the student made no preparations to carry out his intended threat, and have deemed West Monroe High School safe.
