MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Brad Dison, an area bandleader, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter, has recorded a new Christmas song entitled "Christmas Lights." The song has now been released as a video as well.
"Christmas Lights" is now being played on some area radio stations and has been accepted for airing on Morning Express with Robin Meade (HLN).
Dison says he was inspired to write the song about his favorite activity during the Christmas season, which is "driving around looking at Christmas lights." Specifically, well-known Natchitoches Christmas lights were the inspiration for the song.
As a child, the Natchitoches Christmas festival was the official beginning of Dison's family's Christmas celebration. Dison comments that seeing those lights just makes him feel like a kid again.
"There's something magical about seeing the bright, twinkling lights on what is normally lackluster buildings and homes. It makes me feel like a kid again, if only for an instant.", says Dison.
"Christmas Lights" is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, and many other music download sites.
