EAST CARROLL PARISH, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The Monticello Water system has announced a boil notice because of problems with the water.

The area specifically affected is the Elwood Area from the intersection of La. Highway 134 and 881 to the intersection of La. Highway 134 and 581, along with all side roads off this stretch of the area indicated.

A full boil is defined as water heated to a rolling boil, then boiled for one full minute AFTER the rolling boil has been reached.
