Duck Dynasty enters art world

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) – The Robertsons -- from A&E hit series, "Duck Dynasty'' -- have made millions from the sale of duck calls. Now, they are hoping to conquer the art world with their first lithograph.

The first family of ducks cried fowl when they learned that many times the artwork that graces Louisiana's famous duck stamp and poster, is created by out of state artists. "It's 100 percent Louisiana, no Yankees or Yuppies Involved", said Si Robertson in a video promoting the print.

Famous poster artist, Michael Hunt has the honor of being Duck Commander's first official artist with a beautiful painting of two wood ducks. The poster is limited to only 1500 copies, each numbered and individually signed by Phil, Si, Willie and Jase Robertson.

"We chose Michael on the basis of his last name being Hunt", said Willie Robertson. "He has painted the Pope and U.S. presidents, we were a natural addition to spice up his art", said Jase Robertson referring to the fact that the artist's work is included in the prestigious collections of the Vatican and the White House.
