BATON ROUGE, LA. (KNOE 8 News) - On Wednesday in Baton Rouge, the Louisiana Community and Technical College (LCTCS) Board of Supervisors and System President, Dr. Joe May, announced their decision to postpone the appointment of the next chancellor of Louisiana Delta Community College.

The appointment was scheduled for Wednesday but will now take place during a special meeting of the board.

The date and time of that special meeting have not been determined yet.

Board members said they needed more time to select the best candidate for LDCC's chancellor.

The finalists for the chancellor job are Dr. Rodney Ellis, Executive Vice President of Atlanta Technical College in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Barbara Hanson, Vice President of Learning at San Jacinto College-Central Campus in Pasadena, Texas and Dr. Jerry Ryan, the current LDCC Interim Chancellor.
