MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The Monroe Chamber of Commerce held their biggest fundraiser of the year Thursday night.
The "Vintage Soiree" holiday gala and auction was held at the Desiard Country Club. In total, with sponsorships, ticket sales and the auction, the event brought in about 70 thousand dollars.
Chamber President Sue Nicholson says the money helps to underwrite all the work they do in the community throughout the year. The chambers mission is to create a thriving business environment in Ouachita Parish.
