Lena, LA)—A Lena man has been arrested and charged with 70 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles, announced Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.
Agents arrested 47-year-old Stephen Linzay of 1660 Lena Flatwoods Road following a joint investigation involving the Attorney General's High Technology Crime Unit and the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office. A search warrant was executed on Linzay's residence in September, at which time agents seized his computer. After a full forensic examination, agents discovered he was in possession of child pornography. He was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Rapides Parish Jail.
Linzay is charged with violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.
To report suspected cases of Internet crime, contact the Attorney General's High Technology Crime Unit at 1-800-256-4506.
